Denmark the least corrupt country in the World

Denmark is again the least corrupt country in the World. Last year, Denmark had to share the title with New Zealand but this year Denmark received another point on the corruption scale. Transparency International, the global coalition against corruption has issued its annual  corruption perceptions index that measures the perceived levels of public sector corruption in 175 countries and territories (www.transparency.org/cpi2014). Denmark scored 92 out 100 possible points. The ranking is:

1. Denmark – 92

2. New Zealand – 91

3. Finland – 89

4. Sweden – 87

5. Norway – 86

5. Switzerland – 86

7. Singapore – 84

8. Netherland – 83

9. Luxembourg – 82 

10. Canada – 81

17. USA – 74

174. North Korean and Somalia – 8
